// This meta-analysis compared false belief understanding in deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children using cochlear implants or hearing aids to typically hearing peers. Data from 13 studies showed that DHH children performed significantly worse on these tasks. The study also found that DHH children might respond better on implicit tasks using eye gaze. The findings highlight the crucial role of language and task methods in false belief skill development for DHH children.
