// This study examined how mild to moderate hearing loss affects perception of individual voices in polyphonic female vocal music. Using enumeration and voice-tracking tasks, normal-hearing listeners outperformed hearing-impaired ones in counting voices, but both groups showed similar ability to track a cued voice. Inharmonicity worsened performance for all, though hearing-impaired listeners were less affected at higher voice counts. The findings suggest hearing loss impacts complex music perception differently depending on the task, which may guide future support strategies for hearing-impaired listeners.
