// This study evaluated the slim perimodiolar CI632 electrode in adults with substantial low-frequency hearing receiving cochlear implants under expanded indications. Ten participants were followed for 12 months, showing stable low-frequency hearing preservation and consistent electrode function. Significant improvements in speech recognition and patient outcomes were observed, supported by confirmed scala tympani electrode placement. The findings demonstrate that this electrode preserves low-frequency hearing better than typical perimodiolar arrays and enhances speech understanding in noise.
