// Supersaccades and Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex Inconsistency Score as Predictors of Gain Recovery After Acute Unilateral Vestibular Loss
// This study evaluated two new video head impulse test biomarkers—supersaccades and VOR Inconsistency Score (VIS)—to predict early vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) gain recovery in unilateral peripheral vestibular dysfunction patients. Using retrospective data from 90 patients, age, supersaccades, and VIS independently predicted recovery, with a strong model accuracy (AUC=0.881). The research identified a VOR gain threshold (0.448) distinguishing different recovery marker roles for supersaccades and VIS. These findings suggest that supersaccades and VIS enhance early prognosis and patient management beyond VOR gain values alone.
