// This study evaluated hearing aid use and outcomes among low-income adults in a community-based hearing aid program in Nova Scotia. Using patient data from 179 participants, it found strong hearing aid uptake with an average daily use of over 9 hours. Participants showed significant improvements in self-reported hearing handicap and functional hearing outcomes at 3 and 12 months. The results support the effectiveness of accessible, community-based hearing services in improving hearing health and reducing care disparities.
