// This study reviewed 465 articles on swallowing across different food consistencies, extracted using the FRONTIERS appraisal tool to evaluate research quality and reporting. The analysis identified common patterns and gaps in study characteristics, notably underreporting of racial/ethnic diversity and unclear dysphagia severity criteria. Most studies involved adult participants from a global distribution but lacked uniform transparency and rigor. The findings highlight the need for improved reporting standards in dysphagia research.
