// This study synthesized qualitative research on communication training for adult partners of individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI). It analyzed experiences of 66 individuals with ABI and 179 communication partners from nine studies using thematic synthesis. Results showed most improvements occurred in conversational interactions, with less impact on emotions, relationships, and independence. The authors recommend future research to explore deeper effects of training to better tailor therapeutic interventions.
