// The Effect of Phonology and Semantics on Reading and Memorizing Written Sentences in Chinese Prelinguistic Deaf People
本研究比較先天聾啞者與正常聽力中文使用者在句子閱讀及記憶任務中的語音與語義干擾處理|結果顯示聾啞者較依賴語義重組,且語義處理發生於詞彙提取之後,與聽力者的語音敏感性不同|支持結構意識缺陷假說,認為語音與語義處理相互獨立,建議教育策略應著重語義邏輯及詞序記憶以提升聽障者閱讀能力。
// This study compared phonological and semantic interference processing between prelingually deaf and normal-hearing Chinese speakers during sentence reading and memory tasks. Using reaction time and accuracy measures, results showed deaf participants relied more on semantic reorganization and processed semantics after vocabulary extraction, unlike hearing participants who showed phonological sensitivity. The findings support the deficit structure awareness hypothesis and indicate phonological and semantic processing are independent. The study recommends education strategies focusing on semantic logic and word order memory to improve reading in deaf individuals.
