本研究評估神經肌肉電刺激（NMES）加傳統吞嚥治療對急性及亞急性中風患者吞嚥障礙的效果｜57名患者隨機分組接受NMES加傳統治療或偽刺激加傳統治療，為期兩週｜NMES組在功能性口腔攝取量及症狀嚴重度上皆有顯著改善，顯示NMES有助加速中風後吞嚥功能恢復並減輕症狀。

// This study evaluated whether neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) added to traditional swallowing therapy improves outcomes in acute and subacute post-stroke patients with dysphagia. Fifty-seven patients were randomized to receive either NMES plus traditional therapy or sham stimulation with traditional therapy over two weeks. The NMES group showed significantly greater improvement in functional oral intake and symptom severity at all post-intervention assessments compared to controls. Thus, NMES adjunct enhances early recovery and symptom reduction in stroke-related swallowing difficulties.
