// This randomized controlled trial tested a culturally adapted, speech-language pathologist (SLP)-led breastfeeding intervention for migrant mothers in Portugal based on children's rights principles. The intervention included prenatal workshops, feeding assessments, and personalized counseling, comparing 37 participants receiving it versus 37 in standard care. Results showed significantly higher exclusive breastfeeding rates at 1, 3, and 6 months, improved maternal self-efficacy, better infant oral-motor function, and enhanced maternal postpartum quality of life in the intervention group. The study concludes that SLP-led, culturally sensitive support effectively improves breastfeeding outcomes and maternal-child health.
