// This study surveyed 204 otolaryngologists from 49 countries to assess work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMD) linked to endoscopic ear surgery (EES). Those performing EES more than 50% of the time reported higher prevalence and severity of back-related WRMD and experienced greater ergonomic discomfort compared to those performing EES less frequently. The findings highlight a significant connection between increased EES use and musculoskeletal issues. The study concludes that improved surgical education and ergonomic interventions are needed to reduce WRMD among EES surgeons.
