// Long-term Incidence of Revision Surgery Caused by Electrode Migration in a Large Cochlear Implant Cohort Using a Titanium Fixation Clip Applied by a Novel Reverse Application Technique
// This study evaluated the impact of using a titanium electrode fixation clip combined with a "Reverse Fixation Clip Technique" on electrode migration (EM) in cochlear implants. A retrospective review of 1052 cases showed that the clip significantly reduced revision surgeries due to EM, with 0% revisions in the clip group versus up to 1.9% in the non-clip group over 7 years. No clip-related complications were observed. The findings suggest this method effectively prevents EM-related revision surgery.
