// Estimated Prevalence of Developmental Language Disorder Risk in West Virginia Schools
// This study estimated the prevalence of developmental language disorder (DLD) risk among early elementary students in West Virginia using a dual-criterion screening with CELF-5 and TNL-2 assessments. Results showed a high risk prevalence of 28.6%, with higher odds in town versus urban schools, while grade and gender were not significant factors. The TNL-2 identified more students at risk than the CELF-5, highlighting variability due to assessment tools. Findings emphasize the need for locally tailored screening and service planning given higher than expected DLD risk rates.
