// This study evaluated the long-term effects of the FRAME reading comprehension intervention for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs). Using a randomized controlled trial and telepractice assessments at pretest, posttest, and 6-month follow-up, results showed sustained but reduced improvements in reading strategy use among FRAME participants compared to controls. However, gains in answering reading comprehension questions were not maintained. Participants found FRAME acceptable, relevant, and helpful for comprehension and independence, suggesting it supports lasting strategy use though further support may be needed for broader comprehension outcomes.
