// This study translated and culturally adapted the Hearing and Functioning in Everyday Life Questionnaire into Mandarin (HFEQ-Mandarin) for older adults with hearing loss. The questionnaire showed good cultural relevance, a five-factor structure, and excellent overall reliability after testing with 227 participants. Significant correlations with hearing measures supported its validity, though some items needed refinement and the length posed challenges. The HFEQ-Mandarin appears promising but requires further validation in diverse groups.
