// This study developed a reliable semiautomatic method to measure cochlear nerve cross-sectional area (CSA) from 3D MRI models in cochlear implant users. The CSA near the cochlear aperture showed the strongest correlation with postoperative speech perception scores. The findings suggest this nerve region's CSA could serve as a useful imaging biomarker to predict speech outcomes after cochlear implantation.
