Method: the tool was piloted in 16 hearing-aid clinics over 12 months, with 35 providers recording hearing stages for adult attendees (19,102 appointments total; 2,057 stages recorded) and client/provider experience and a cochlear-implant (CI) referral subgroup surveyed. Primary finding: the tool was easy to use, prompted discussion of management options, and significantly increased CI evaluation referrals, though further work is needed to integrate it into routine clinical practice.
