// Lessons From the Communication Bridge Trials: Advancing Meaningful Dyadic Interventions Toward Implementation
// This review describes the Communication Bridge program, a dyadic telehealth intervention developed to improve quality of life and reduce burden for people with primary progressive aphasia and their communication partners. The program was tested in three sequential trials (CB1 pilot, CB2 international RCT, CB3 ongoing RCT) using speech-language, educational, and psychosocial components and framed by the NIH Stage Model and RAPT to move from feasibility toward implementation readiness. Staged development improved rigor, reproducibility, feasibility, fidelity, acceptability, and scalability, and person-centered outcomes showed meaningful benefits that were maintained over time. The authors conclude that applying implementation science frameworks helps advance dyadic PPA interventions toward real-world use and that early attention to person-centered outcomes and implementation is essential.
