// Time-frequency EEG markers of word boundaries in speech production
使用EEG時頻分析與來源定位,受試者在視覺節拍器下念配對偽詞以控制發音、重音與連音|右下額葉(右IFG)於詞界轉換時出現theta與beta同步,左上顳(左STG)於詞首呈alpha抑制,分別指示層級結構敏感與感覺預測|僅見微小剩餘時序與聲學差異,結果有助於語音分段與語言處理模型。
// We used EEG time-frequency analysis with source localization while adults produced paced pseudoword pairs to compare neural dynamics of within-word versus word-boundary syllable transitions. Syllables were uttered at matched times under a visual metronome so identical syllables in the same utterance positions occurred either within words or across word boundaries, controlling articulation, stress, co-articulation and prosody. Left and right inferior frontal and left superior temporal sources were differentially recruited by boundary context: the right inferior frontal source showed increased theta and beta event-related synchronization during word transitions, and the left superior temporal source showed alpha suppression at word onset, indicating sensitivity to hierarchical structure and possible sensory prediction. Small residual timing and acoustic differences between conditions were observed.
