// This retrospective chart review of 374 infant congenital hearing‑loss assessment reports examined how audiologists describe hearing loss and which factors predict report content. Most reports (63.6%) used degree-based descriptions only, while 26.5% described functional implications. Reports that described implications were 2.34 times more likely to come from pediatric versus lifespan clinics, and the average reading level (grade 11.6) was well above recommended levels, indicating reports are variable and often too difficult for families to use in care planning.
