// This cross-sectional survey (N=171) of U.S. audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and early interventionists examined provider practices and perspectives on using behavior management to increase children's hearing aid use. Most providers view teaching behavior management as part of their role, but only 12% regularly collaborate with behavior analysts and most lacked graduate training in behavior management. Higher confidence in behavior management was associated with more pediatric experience and graduate training; top challenges were caregiver hesitancy, identifying caregiver internal barriers, and limited time. The study suggests expanding provider training and collaboration with behavior analysts to improve hearing aid retention in children.
