// This retrospective study analyzed VNG, caloric testing, and vHIT performed the same day in 193 patients with definite vestibular migraine. vHIT was abnormal in 33.7% and caloric testing in 40.9%; oculomotor and positional abnormalities occurred in 38.3% and 20.7%, and a caloric-vHIT dissociation (abnormal caloric with normal vHIT) was present in 27.5%. There were no significant categorical associations between vHIT and oculomotor, positional, or caloric results. The authors conclude that tests reveal heterogeneous, likely frequency-dependent vestibular dysfunction in VM, so each assesses distinct, complementary aspects and the caloric-vHIT dissociation supports but does not replace clinical differentiation from conditions like Ménière’s disease.
