// This systematic review and meta-analysis compared in-person versus guided internet-based aural rehabilitation (AR) for adults with acquired hearing loss, searching four databases through August 2025. Forty-nine studies met inclusion criteria and 12 were included in meta-analyses. In-person AR produced a medium improvement in hearing-related quality of life (QoL), while internet-based AR gave a small but significant improvement in hearing-related QoL and the only small significant improvement in general health-related QoL. Conclusion: both delivery modes benefit hearing-related QoL, but more research is needed to identify which AR components improve health-related QoL.
